Northern California Fire Recovery

Deployed through schools, organixations, and parent networks in natural-disaster affected regions.

Designed to address ACEs that stem from displacement, adversity, abuse, and toxic stress.

Serves as an accessible and scalable community resilience model.

The Challenge

Children not only face the extreme stress and trauma from the fire itself, but they are also left grieving the loss of their homes, schools, loved ones, or other safety and support systems. Left unaddressed, these ongoing mental, physical and financial stressors can have a lifelong impact on a child’s development, quality of life, and ability to succeed.

Our Response

With rebuilding underway, No Limit Generation partnered with the North Valley Community Foundation in Butte County, CA to prioritize mental health as a key component of the recovery process. Together, we created a community-led mental health and well-being training series to equip educators, parents, and social workers with the tools to protect & heal vulnerable children.

‘’Our community has experienced trauma upon trauma during the last few years. This video series gives our frontline heroes working with youth additional tools they need to help transform trauma into growth and resilience.’’

- Alexa Benson-Valavanis, President and CEO of the North Valley Community Foundation
