Ada Terry is the Children’s Bereavement Coordinator for Sutter
Health Sutter Care in Yuba City. Ada has worked for Sutter for the
past eight years, initially as a medical social worker with hospice.
Ada transitioned into the position of the Children’s Bereavement
Coordinator. In her position as Children’s Bereavement
Coordinator, Ada developed a framework for working with
children, youth, and their families experiencing anticipatory grief
and post-loss grief centering on grief education, and the
identification of coping skills through the integration of art.
With Master’s degrees in Social Work from California State
University, Marriage and Family Therapy and Theology from Oral
Roberts University, Ada is currently pursuing her PhD from
Walden University in Disaster and Crisis Intervention work.
