The tree exercise to empower

Grounding exercises can help children deal with some of the emotions that flood their systems. The “Tree Exercise” is an example of that. Have children put their attention on the bottoms of their feet. Have them notice the feeling of the ground beneath their feet. You can have them stand in a pose like a great tree and think about their roots going down from their feet deep into the earth, says Dr. Patricia Gerbarg.
